I just came across your blog last night and I've been really enjoying it! 🙂 I have a couple questions for you, if you don't mind. How/why did you end up living in Paris? How long have you been living there? What are you doing, in terms of a job while there? Sorry if these are too personal of questions, but I'm just a little curious! 🙂 Reply Dateafrenchman 22 May 2012 at 19:51 Hi there, Thanks for your comment! I came to be in Paris by choice basically. This time round I've been here a couple of years, but I've lived here before. And I work in advertising, been my field for many years. Come back soon 🙂 Reply Anonymous 18 May 2014 at 15:08 Hello, I know this might be a very late comment but I just bumped into your blog like an hour ago, and I have been reading from the start until this. And I have a question, what if he is not in good terms with his mother but he already talked about marriage. What do you think is this ? Thanks a lot, I'll be reading til the very end 🙂 – G Reply Dateafrenchman 20 May 2014 at 06:26 Hi G – Thanks for checking out my blog! Your Frenchman doesn't need to be on good terms with his mom to talk about marriage. It just means she won't be giving him the golden seal of approval. Maybe his dad will instead. Or his siblings. Or maybe his friends. If he's talking about marriage, it's obviously an important step for him. As for marrying you – that's a whole different step in his head. Give it time and don't focus on that. Focus on getting to know each other and seeing if you're right for one another. Bises, Datea x Reply Anonymous 22 May 2014 at 02:05 Thanks for answering my comment 🙂 He is not in good terms of his family, his dad died 2 years ago. But he did not introduce his friends yet though i know their names and he talked about them already. I just have some kind of problem with him, he's changed though he still talked about marriage and living with me. He doesnt answer my i love you anymore 🙁 G Reply Dateafrenchman 22 May 2014 at 12:03 Hi again G – Hmmm, 7 months is long to not introduce his friends to you. How long is he in Taiwan for? Him not saying I love you back is brutal, sorry to hear that. It's difficult to know what might be going through his head right now. Maybe the distance has pulled you guys apart? How long did you guys date before he went to Taiwan? And when did he change? He obviously still has feelings for you as he still talks about marriage and living with you, but there appears to be more to this story… Bises, Datea x Reply Anonymous 22 May 2014 at 13:45 Hello Datea 🙂 thanks for answering my questions. We are in LDR because I live in Phils, thhere's no way he could introduce his friends to me, unless he wants to introduce them via FB, we haven't personally met yet. He's been there for 2 months already but will come home on June 2. He changed after our last argument, Iwe had argued for 3 days and I talked about having a break. After that he doesn't call me his sweet endearments anymore. He just says love you too after i say it. But since the other day he did not say love you too either :< well our last fight was i think 2 weeks ago. Bises 🙂 G Reply Dateafrenchman 30 May 2014 at 08:42 Hi again G – French guys don't like conflict so it sounds like he's withdrawing. What are you arguing about? Remember that when you talk about stuff like taking a break, a guy will take you at your word. So you need to make sure you mean it. If it's just venting, then call a girlfriend instead. My guess is that the word “break” made him withdraw some more because it could be the beginning of the end. So by not saying I love you anymore, maybe he's protecting himself. I think you guys need to see each other face to face, reconnect, and have a heart to heart. Try not to argue till then. Instead, remember why you guys got together in the first place. Bises, Datea x Reply Anonymous 31 May 2014 at 05:09 Now it makes sense, I will make it up to him then, thank you Datea, it's a huge help 🙂 I was in my pms back then and I was irritated when he had a fight with a girl because i found it unmanly. And then I took the girl's side, that's when we had a fight. >.< Real thanks, – G 🙂 Reply Dateafrenchman 31 May 2014 at 07:17 Hi G – Backing your Frenchman up in his thought processes is important. Choose your battles. Bises, Datea x Reply Anonymous 1 June 2014 at 15:30 I don't understand Datea can you please elaborate :3 thank you 🙂 – G Reply Dateafrenchman 2 June 2014 at 06:31 Hi G – I mean that it's good to fight for the big stuff and to not sweat the small stuff.
