In case you were wondering, I had a lovely Valentine’s Day!
My Frenchman gave me a bouquet of white roses and also a rather novel bouquet of chocolate (that I have since scoffed).
I opened a bottled of champagne, we snacked on the amuse-gueules, he loved the endives au jambon I made, we tucked into a delicious fresh baguette and soft cheese, then we shared two delicious desserts he picked up at the patisserie. Totally yummy.
After I gave him my gift and card, I made a little speech. That I felt very lucky, that I may be a little emotional at times (slight understatement), thank you for your patience, and that my heart belonged to him.
And he also gave a little speech. That he was very happy to have found me. And that maybe soon I would agree to leave my little apartment. That I shouldn’t worry, everything in its own time.
Things quickly moved to the bedroom. I will spare you the details…
Then we watched a movie, snuggled on the sofa and munched on the chocolate bouquet.
So how was your V day?
Next post: I am spending tomorrow with my Frenchman and his kids. We’ll spend the day in Paris then I’ll go back to my Frenchman’s place with them, have dinner and spend the night. It’s a big step. But strangely, I feel very calm. I will report back soon!
