My Frenchman is a romantic. I’m always very touched by the romantic things he does. Like when he got me a beautiful heart necklace for our 1st year anniversary. When he surprised me with a heart-melting message in a card. When he brought home a winter bouquet of flowers. When he left me heart post-its all around the apartment. When I came home to a living room lit with candles. When he got me a box of 365 love messages. When he made me a delicious Valentine’s Day dinner. When he took me out for a wonderful 2nd year anniversary dinner. When he told me how I light up his life and how I make him love life. When he took me in his arms and said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. These are just a few examples among many. All warm my heart, make me feel loved and make me very, very happy.
Romance can never be underestimated. We often get caught up with our lives and forget the little things that can make someone you love feel cherished. See, it’s the little things that count. Appreciating each other and doing something special for the one you love makes all the difference. It doesn’t have to be something expensive – it can be something you say, something you make, something you write. And it works both ways, your Frenchman and you.
Being romantic all year round is a lovely way to show how much you care for your significant other. I mean, who wouldn’t want romance in their life, right?
Je souhaite à toutes une année 2016 plus romantique que jamais !
